A Special Day
Armed Forces Day is an annual day dedicated to showing support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community. From those currently serving to others who have previously served as troops, veterans and cadets are all celebrated.
The Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, recently announced that the city has been chosen to host the 2017 Armed Forces Day Liverpool.
Whats On
The 2016 event was held in Cleethorpes and featured a show from the Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Also military vehicles were on show and a superbly daring display from parachute teams.
Liverpool is known for its spectacular celebrations so we’re sure this is going to be an event you don’t want to miss. The plans which have been drawn up promise Armed Forces Day Liverpool will be a “colourful spectacle, full of speed and excitement”.
Show your Appreciation
This is a huge honour for our city and we’re extremely excited to be hosting such as prestigious and important event.
The national event it due to take place on Saturday 24th June next year and is a fantastic way for the city and country to show their appreciation for all our armed forces do.
