Here at The Shankly Preston, we wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment because breakfast is our favourite meal of the day (especially when we’re eating out in Preston).

There are brilliant cafes and brunching spots all over the city, so whether you fancy a healthy smashed avocado or a hearty full English, you’re sure to find some of the best breakfasts in Lancashire right on your doorstep.

This award-winning coffee shop is a vegan and veggie heaven. Crowned Independent Business of the Year in Preston for 2018, it serves up specialist coffee and fantastic brunching options for Preston’s hungry inhabitants.

If you’re struggling to chose from their menu, why not treat yourself to a stack of delicious pancakes or try the ‘smashed avo’ dish – it’s the Town House’s most popular breakfast item from their locally sourced menu.

And if you order a hot drink, look out for the beautiful latte artwork that adorns each lovingly-made coffee.

South American is a rare cuisine to find at a breakfast stop in the UK, but Cafuné will have you wondering why there aren’t more cafes like it around.

This brightly-decorated brunch spot serves the best coffee from the South American continent, including specials such as Brazilian Cappuccino (a coffee with Nutella) and Argentinian coffee (a touch of dulce de leche added).

For a fully immersive experience, try the Cafuné Breakfast, complete with sausage, bacon, black beans, fried egg, tomato, fried plantain, avocado slices and arepa (a bread from Venezuela made with ground maize dough).

Health-food fanatics should indulge in the Açaí Bowl, a traditional sorbet from Brazil topped with granola, or the Avocado Crunch Cream Bowl.
